Support through a family health crisis

Leaving home to become a university student is a big and important transition in anyone's life. When you have a family member who is ill or who lives with a disability, chances are you are used to caring for them and maybe worrying about them too. And those factors might make the decision to go to university feel even more complicated.

Hope have created a guide for university students who support family members, written by young people, which offers tips for students in similar situations.

Hope is an award winning youth-led charity that supports young people aged 11+ when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, such as cancer. Find out about online support here.
