Payroll Giving

Sometimes known as ‘Give As You Earn’, payroll giving lets you make tax-free donations to Student Minds straight from your salary every month so we can carry on supporting thousands of students across the UK.

How does it work?

Giving as you earn is the most tax-effective way of giving to Student Minds. Your donation will come straight from your monthly salary before tax is deducted. This means if you pledge to donate £10 you’ll pay £8 if you’re on basic rate tax, £6 on 40% tax or £5 on 50% tax and HMRC will make up the difference.

How do I sign up?

Ask your employer if they have a payroll giving scheme in place. If they do they’ll be able to give you a form to complete, adding Student Minds as the charity you want to support.

If they don’t already take part in payroll giving, why not suggest they do? It’s easy and inexpensive to run –  find out more and choose an approved agency here.
