Fundraise at work

Fundraising for Student Minds with your colleagues is a great way to bring people together and support positive wellbeing. It also raises awareness of the support available for the students in your team’s lives.

Here are a few ideas for how you can support us:
Take on an active challenge:

Come together to take on an all-day challenge such as the Yorkshire Three Peaks, or a monthly step count challenge. You can use apps like Strava to track progress and offer prizes for those who top the leaderboard to appeal to your team’s competitive spirit.

Perhaps you want to raise funds for running a certain distance or you could ask for a small payment for people who want to take part - get creative! This could be a great way to raise money to support mental health.

Host a Quiz

Everyone (well, almost everyone!) loves a quiz. You could host a pub quiz-style event in person or online and charge a small entry fee to raise donations.
Run a bake sale
Very few things taste better than a home-made cake.

Why not set up a bake sale in a communal area and encourage people to stay and chat whilst they eat your creations?
A classic fundraising activity for a reason! Make sure you’re labelling all allergens.

Hold a sweepstake

Whether for a big sporting event, Eurovision, or just guessing how many biscuits in a jar, sweepstakes are an easy way to get the whole team involved.
Top Tip: Matched Funding

Many companies are willing to support their team’s fundraising activities by matching what they raise. Make sure to ask if your workplace offers this and you could quickly double your impact!

Our fundraising activities are a chance for everyone working at Homes for Students to come together, challenge themselves and form new friendships. It’s a great way to learn more about the people you work with rather than being stuck behind a desk!

Those that do take part come away with a real sense of achievement, not only conquering a tough challenge but also supporting an amazing cause. Our fundraising events have become a staple in our calendar.
