Become a Challenge Leader
Don’t see your university? You can apply to become a challenge leader in 2026. You’ll have the opportunity to pick which challenge you’d like to take on and gain impressive skills by recruiting a team to join you, with support from the Student Minds team.
Host a trip on behalf of your RAG Society or SU
If you’re a RAG President or Students’ Union activity coordinator and you’d like to boost student fundraising on your campus, you can apply to become a Choose a Challenge partner and host a trip or set of trips.

We’ll help you to recruit a team for your chosen challenge(s), and support them to reach their fundraising goals.
Register your interest with the Choose a Challenge team today and let them know you’d like to support Student Minds, or download the partnership brochure to find out more.

Make us your society’s charity of the year

Whether you’re part of a dedicated fundraising society such as a RAG or you’re interested in fundraising on top of your society’s usual activities, we’d love to have your support. By making Student Minds your charity of the year, you’ll have the opportunity to learn some new skills, bond as a team and play a part in transforming the state of student mental health. Here’s what you’ll need to do.
1. Make a fundraising plan
  • What activities would you like to undertake? This could be anything from a sponsored match against a rival team, to hosting a series of quizzes, to taking on a 24 hour rowing challenge.
  • When will your fundraisers be? Make sure to consider key academic dates, e.g. when exams and reading weeks will be.
  • Do you need to book any venues?
  • Are there any costs involved? Make sure to account for this when setting your fundraising goal.
  • What resources will you need?
  • What are the health and safety considerations? You can find guidance in our fundraising pack.
2. Let us know what you've got planned
Let us know about your plans and our fundraising team will be in touch to offer you advice and support.
3. Let your students' union know
If your society is affiliated with your students’ union, we would recommend checking whether they have any regulations you'll need to follow or forms you'll need to fill in.

They might also be able to provide you with collection tins and other resources, and help you to publicise your event.

5. Keep us updated!
Email us at [email protected] or tag us on social media @StudentMindsOrg to let us know how it’s going. We’d love to see photos from your events and challenges.
4. Set up an online fundraising page
You can easily set up a page on JustGiving. You can either use this to collect all donations, or to supplement in-person fundraising at events.
Set up a JustGiving page today

If you’d prefer, your members can set up individual pages connected to a central team page.
6. Pay in the money raised at the end of the year
If you haven’t used an online fundraising page, there are several ways you can get the money raised to us.

Please note money raised at society events may need to be transferred through your Students’ Union’s RAG bank account to make sure that they are complying with charity law.

They might have guidance on this on their website - otherwise get in touch with them to find out more.
