10/10 Challenge

Would you like to start the new academic year with a team challenge? Getting to know new members, rekindling the bond with old teammates, and raising awareness of students’ mental health.  Taking on the ‘10/10’ Challenge to raise money for Student Minds in collaboration with British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).

Did you know October 10th is World Mental Health day? This year we are encouraging you choose any sport your team is interested in, and set a goal related to 1010 to complete between the 9th and 15th October 2023. For example, you could choose to run or row 10.10 km, cycle 101.0 km, or climb 1,010 stairs. Fancy dress is encouraged and make sure to take a team photo at the end!
Who can take part?

The challenge is primarily aimed at sports clubs to take on as a team. However, if you are part of a different society and wish to get involved, you can sign up and take part too.

All you need to do is:

  1. Sign up and pick a target number to challenge as a team, choose from any sport or activity your team’s interested in, designed to suit you.
  2. Choose a fancy dress theme with your teammates
  3. Set up your fundraising page, and link to the 10/10 campaign page.
  4. Suit up and complete the challenge from 9th October to 15th October.
  5. Take a team photo holding our poster when you complete the challenge and post it to social media, don't forget to tag @studentmindsorg and @bucssport.
  6. Ask your loved ones to sponsor you, and raise money to support our work improving the state of student mental health.

Sign up and you’ll receive:

  • A fundraising pack with tips, advice and images to share on social media
  • Bespoke support from our fundraising team
  • A poster for completing the challenge
  • The 5 teams that raise the most money, as well as the winner of the best team outfit vote will receive gifts from Student Minds as a huge well done for your achievement.

If you have any questions about the 10/10 challenge please email [email protected], we can't wait to see all of your amazing photos and support you every step of the way.
